Just a bit of mindless fun. I was thinking the E30 being 25 years old, there must be some high mileage cars out there,so who's got the most. Its got to be on the original engine. My 1987 318i has 110 thousand.

Hhm - mines says 94k on the clock but the engine was changed last year with a 2.5 and the instrument cluster changed (no records)

Not bothered about mileage one the engine as the shell is good and pretty rot free and I can always change the engine in the future winkeye
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

You wouldn't guess it by the condition, but mine's only done 62,000 or so.
I wonder if there are any lower than that.

All these are barely run in! Just shy of 300,000 on the red touring in my sig. Doesn't need oil topping up between changes, uses no coolant, well up on power - in short, works as new. Head was replaced (cracked) several 10s of thousand miles ago.

My 325 has 185K and runs perfectly..no oil or water use at all...shame about the body!

The 320 Touring has 110K indicated, but that is probably a bit low as the speedo was inoperative when I got it...also runs perfectly, engine uses about 0.5 litre every 2000 miles and no water..diff has a weeping output flange seal that needs sorting

The M3 has 162K km on the clock (just over 100K miles), but has just (2500 KM ago) had a full engine rebuild and update as I ran a bearing on a trackday...Like all S14s it uses a small amount of oil, but no water and did that before it was rebuilt...It's better now, but too soon to say for sure..

164k.
Bought it 4 years ago with 107k on. For the forseeable future I can't see it doing less than 13k per year - 200k in less than 3 years time then!

I've only recently had to replace the original exhaust. I had the 'head off at 130k, but only because of broken manifols studs.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

129k here, with lots of MOTs to back it up, although its not proven. Uses no oil, seemed to use about a litre of coolant in the last 4000 miles but no mayo - I'm trying to kid myself that it was still settling in after having samco hoses fitted - luckily the coolant warning light works!
I use it as a daily driver and it starts first hit every time. Oil pressure light takes about 2s to switch off if the car hasn't been run for a couple of days, otherwise it goes straight out.

I've got over 200K on my 325i, but I propose that Mr Mooooooooooooooooore should win. Because he is so clever. (And his red touring has done loads of miles).
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

Sligthly off topic we had 53 reg Renault Laguna 1.9DCi come into my work (Renault Service centre and bodyshop) with 193k on it! 8O I was surprised with this and is the highest mileage Renault i have ever seen. Those that know me know how much i loath french turds but cedit where credit due!
