I've spent a little while reading various posts on here and am a little surprised how many of you have the 318iS! No question is a cracking car, so I wondered how you have modified it, if you have. Having seen the work of Jayson's Viper2 chip I am slightly curious about the gains on the E30, is anyone running it at the moment, if so what are your thoughts? In my E36 325, no question response and mid-range were better, fuel economy was poor. One of the best things about the little E30 is that you can get such good mpg from it, which makes it a great second car.

Wheels are wheels, some people will try and put 20" spinners on an E30, others know 15's are the way forward

So basically, what have you done with yours, why and was it worth?

Cheers people, great forum.

Hi Tim, not sure what the shift is like in the 318is but if its anything like the sport then a shoft shift from a Z3 apparently makes a huge difference.
Its one of the first things on my list to do after I rebuild the engine.

Quite long if I think about it, short shift would certainly compliment the buzzy engine. The 7200rpm rev limit is always nice if it doesn't lunch the engine!!
