The wheels are for the car in the pic?

Siver / Gunmetal or whatever - Not black. Doesn't suit that colour car IMHO

Anthracite.
Different without being too different, and a great contrast to your car....

What type of paint & lacquer should be used on wheels? Can you use standard bodywork stuff? I'm going to be doing my BBS wheels shortly. I'll be taking them back to bare alloy then etch primer but unsure what type and colour of paint/lacquer to use.

(Sorry for thread hi-jack)

Taylor,
take it from me it was a nightmare taking it down to bare alloy (nearly 3 bottles of nitromors) i done a set about 4 years ago and rubed them down,it took a while but when you take it down to bare alloy you will need etch primer then once etch primer is on you need to rub that down anyway ready for paint!
"IF" i ever do another set i will just rub them down, prime.paint, lacquer!
and yes you can use normal paint, ive used the stuff (hycote) from local car spares shops before, just make sure you give them loads of coats,ie id say use a 150ml can on each wheel, bbs's are awkward to paint and make sure they are FULLY painted!
you need to use a good quality lacquer, but dont put the lacquer on for 24hours after paint,
if you dont take your time they will need painting again in 12 months
and theres nothing worse than flakey bbs's,

still havent decided what colour to do mine :banghead:

anthracite is swaying me at the mo!

Cheers for that!

I've got a compressor & blast gun so taking them back to bare alloy aint a problem - just need to buy some glass beads. I'm toying with doing mine white but can't decide.

Anybody fancy photoshopping some white BBS wheels on my car winkeye

I quite fancied gold when I had a red e21. But I think on a Silver car Dolphin Grey would look good.
