I'm curious as to how many people have head problems, either gasket or actual head problems,so heres a poll to find out.
I've added mileage too,but you might have to state what car and with what miles as there aint enough polls for everything!

Had an 83 320 that dropped the valves at 180k
Can't say it wasn't expected though as it kept going with one already gone (motorway)
The head was fine though :thumb:

320i Touring bought with 107.5k on and one broken manifold stud. Now got 125k on and 3 broken studs. Other than that no 'head issues yet, and still running fine with the aforementioned broken studs.:thumb:
Is this 320i (or 731 type 'head) rightness???
Stuart.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

My old 318is had a reconditioned head of an E36 fitted in 2002 it lasted a 18months if that and that was because i drove it for 6 months, replaced the gasket and all seemed well, sold it and Matt who bought it had to lump the bill. So tomstickland that car is on it's 3rd head in as many years!!
