Does anyone know the best way to drain the petrol on an E30? it has a mechanical pump so I cant just drain it that way and the filler pipe is so long the hose wont go all the way down!

Tank now empty.

Did it in the end by removing the rubber pipe just before the fuel tank, the only hard bit was getting the pipe back on!
The reason i needed to drain the fuel is the car is going to the scrap yard this week and there was 3/4 of a tank in there, would rather not send it to the scrappy with all that fuel and its pointless just driving around until its used up
Thanks anyway guys

Have you considered selling parts on the zone before you take it to its grave?
People are always looking for parts.
Where are you located?
What car is it?
Let us vultures at it before the scrap man gets his hands on it!

Alloys might be up for sale soon though, BBS cross spokes with good tyres.
