What a day!
...And the story begins, got a 1986 325i today that I won from ebay, Ԛ£280. However it was 160 miles away. I managed to get hold of a car trailer for Ԛ£20, and a truck that could pull it for the price of the diesel. Set up the truck last night with a few essentials, tools and wheels! Then set off at 6am this morning to go to Ashford in Kent, roads were clear all the way which was cool, rang the bloke when I was near and met up with him. I followed him to the car's location (in the middle of a run-down estate!) and it was nice to see that the car started up first time and sounded pretty good. Got the v5 and the MOT off him and nothing else, handed over the money and off he went! Was there for about 20mins sortin it out with the trailer and off we went, on our way out I met up with gareth from the Zone for my old suspension which was cool, with his e21
After that we set sail for home, at a 'steady' speed considering the car, got back at 1:30 but by the time the truck and everything was back to it's rightful owner it was 3 8O
Whilst I was gone a mate of mine went to a local garage and picked up my ETA engine for me, whilst Adam was at his house with my 318iS removing the engine - legend! Whilst I was Adam's early this evening Dom came along with a mate to pick up my M42 throttle body, nice to meet ya mate (was a bit odd for him, arriving with 4 lads bent over the back of a Peugeot 405 :squint: )

Damn I'm tired

beats my day too! started off by refitting my driveshaft CV joints, disc's and wheels. Had a horrible noise coming from the front WTF! turned out to be my new locking nut being too long and rubbing on the guard behind the disc! Scott325se worked this one out so thanks mate! Me and scott done our deal so i now have a set of 15 bbs split rims with 8 inch rears, and scott is the new owner of my old 16x7 alpinas!

Indeed it was a busy day all round, spent the morning trying to sort out the bloody horn on my touring for it's MOT but failed.

When I gave up on trying to fix the horn it started raining but rather than be defeated I managed to remove Jim's iS engine in my garage. Didn't run into any problems and the gearbox and prop are coming out tomorrow.

Here are a few snaps of progress so far.

My day was started by the police knocking on my door to tell me that my tyrs had been slashed along with another 40 cars in my street!!! It wasn't all bad though ,my 320 is totally standard , and it looked pretty smart lowered ,so i'm taking the plunge and dropping her a few mil. don,t get me wrong though i'm not grateful to the little f***ers that did it .
If i catch them i will lock them in my garage until the summer then cover them in strawbeery jam and steak them to the ground over an ants nest, or is that a bit excessive

No hurry! Did e30t (Tony) bring it back down then? I can always come pick it up in my van if needs be. Keep up the good work.

I'm surprised I even made it at all! Few hours late, mild excursion through the greenery, very odd day!

Still, throttle body looks a lovely bit of kit, looking forward to the hours of fun you and adam promised fitting it :thumb:
