BMW

no seriously

not only are the sills completely different, there is a double skin metal thingy between the seats and the boot, and the firewall/bulkhead is much MUCH stronger/bigger/thicker - and there are some who say there was seam-welding done too

all to make up for the lack of roof.

So if anyone DOES offer to do it for you, you'll end up with a car that is out-handled by jelly, and would fold-up at the slightest hint of a nudge, or possibly even just hitting a fly at 40mph

ps a conv is SOOOOOO much uprated here that (I've been told) there is no point in fitting a strut brace at the front - what say you, opinioned ones?

why on earth would you want to convert one...there are soft tops available already....you'll just end up with something that looks as gay as a baur....and it would cost you a lot more!
