Most of you probably dont care but I thought Id put up some pics of my nice shiny new head. It looks pretty good. Just hope the valves and cam and rockers etc from my old head fit properly.

Big up to www.linwar.com who delivered it in a day and will pick up my old head as part of the deal.

Nice one, those pics look surgical! Is it new then, or recon? If recon, are there any welding scars?

If you were keeping the car i'd advise you replace these with new parts.

Its a recon head. There is a little evidence of welding on cylinder 3 but it looks like a good job so hopefully it will be ok. There is a 6 month warranty.

I'd love to replace the head internals but after spending what Ive spent already I cant afford it at the mo. Its happened at a bad time!

Check out the state of my old water pump! Who knows how long it would have lasted!

Does anyone know if I can get the seal pictured below from BMW?

Looks like they got a bit carried away with the spray paint before it was all re-machined.
The valves all fit nicely though so it should be ok.

Does anyone know if I can get that seal in the inlet manifold from BMW?
