when my son was that age he had a real laugh playing at driving in my brothers polo goupe gt while it was being cleaned... then he found the plastic lense on the dials was removed and snapped all the needles off and proudly gave them to my bro!!! :o: :D

If you're feeling really brave, ask Max for a pic of his back seat. Millions of potential E30 fans that just didn't get a chance...

That was my first BMW,an E21 320. Like all M20's,it struggled to keep it's oil inside the engine. What did not leak out found it's way into the combustion chambers and was burnt. No ECU,no EFI,just a horribly complex four barrel carb and a distributor hidden under the inlet manifold. When it was on song it went very well,Calamity Jane, with rubber duck89 in his child seat, could do Lincoln/Mablethorpe in under an hour....I could not afford to replace it with a 4 door E30,so settled for an E28 520i instead. You could stand and watch the E21 rust, the piccy shows it just after it had been fited with new front wings, and front bumper. But the sides and rear were very crusty.

Just like my first BMW, same colour too - Rubinrot I think the colour of mine was.
Mine was a 320 too with that horrible carb - biggest pain of the car. Went very well when running well, and very tail-happy too. Great fun, I scared a few friends going round roundabouts sideways in mine on purpose.
Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring
