Can anyone recommend a E30 specialist in the W Kent area? For mechanical work, servcing and even 2.7 conversion  . My car is a cookin' 320 (for now). I know you're going to say any half decent local garage can handle that but I'm curious to find out what E30 talents there are in my area.

Also, do you know of any good bodyshop in W Kent?

Thanks in advance. Cheers.

I've had some work done there, the mechanics are outta this world, so helpfull and understanding. Was especially impressed with the mechanic who seemed to be able to answer every question I had and even pointed out a few things about my e30. The work was top class.
Would recommend to all........ :D

Thanks Dave, fozzy and border for the suggestions. Will check them out. Cheers.

Lilly & Constable quote Ԛ£257 (inclusive) for an Insp II (3 series - doesn't say which model/cylinder) on their website. Is that reasonable? Interestingly, my local BM dealer (Cooper) quotes Ԛ£245 (don't know whether that includes VAT) for Insp II for an E30 6 pots in the Plus 4 scheme - but I wonder how many E30s go through their service bay these days.

My 318i has been going to Peter Newman BMW Specialists since 1990. I've never really spoken to him about modifications but he's had every single answer over the years for any problem.

He's actually based near Ashford but I make the journey from West Kent because he knows what he's doing. It's always a great drive back home when the cars running smoother than ever. (As was the case last night after an Inspection Service.)

Gibbo, so you have the same 318 for the last 15 years? 8) I also tend to keep my cars for ages.

Anyway, where exactly is Peter Newman (address/phone/website)? How much does he charge?

Useful bloke to know ehh!?

Mine is due the dreaded MOT in less than a month and I have this bloody anoying brake warning light that come on. Must be intermitent connection in the instrumnet cluster as a big thump normally puts it out for about 15 sec.

I know the pads are all fine
