Howdy peeps!

been a while since ive posted on here! thought id drop in and give some news on the beast of an m10 project...........or rather the lack of it lol. I know afew of you are pretty interested in what im doin with the car.

About a month ago a started taking the car apart ready for the conversion. It was all goin well until i got a bill slapped on my doorstep from uni demanding tuition fee's i knew nothin about d'oh!!! So that took up the money it was going to take to finish the car. Im straight with uni now tho so roll on payday when i might finally be able to do some more to the car!!

Im currently rolling around in a mk2 golf 1.6 turbo diesel, its still old school but it sounds naff!

This is the current state of the bm:

Its a stroked 2.0L m10 with oversize light weight high compression pistons, head work, twin dellorto 40's, custom 4 into 1 manifold (not the one in the pic it didnt fit d'oh!),mappable megajolt lite ignition and a seriously loopy cam.

I think thats about everything lol, pretty high spec and should be pretty quick .......i hope :D

Ive been advised to use 40's instead of 45's because it help's with the throttle response apparently. Also the only inlet manifolds I could get hold of were for 40's. Im pretty sure it will end up with 45's on it at some point tho lol

yeah was abit gutting when it just wouldnt fit through between the steering column. Ive got the added problem of the gearbox bell houseing being further forward and making the gap even smaller.

Its all good tho as it means i can make a custom manifold that should be really cool

Glad you haven't given up completely Si.

Not been around for a while either, so have no idea where anyone is up to with projects. Is Buster still going for his turbo?

Its all machined and ready to go together just need the cam, exhaust manifold and the mappable ignition and afew other little bits like timing chain tensioner etc... it can all go together and in the car then. at the same time the polybushes are going on along with new break lines and the rear disk conversion......thats gonna be a busy weekend i guess lol.
