Just bought Hofmiesters 320i SE home and all I can say is Im so so impressed how he has kept this E30 is such excellent condition.

It feels like a brand new car to drive.

I took it round my cousins house who only drives brand new BMW's and looks down on E30's and even she was impressed. She drove it a few miles and has asked me to find her one like this.

Yes its only a 320i and as you all know Im used to much more powerful monsters like my M5 and my last E30 which was a real beast of a 2.7 (Yes, even more powerful then the legendry "GUG") but this is so so nice to drive!

This deserves a nice 2.7 in its engine bay with a nice quiet exhaust to keep to the refined character.

Oh, and it certainly pulls alot harder than the average 320i aswell. The throttle body upgrade works very very well along with the e30zone chip.

I did buy it for my wife but I think Im going to keep this to myself!

Ron didnt want to let go of the car but when offered the full asking price I dont think he could refuse.

Cheers RON! I will take as much care of it as you did.

Karan, you'll like this one.

I just been outside this morning going over it and the only outside defects are:

1 light scratch on back of boot which I am so anal to notice

1 pin dent (dentmaster repairable) on back quarter

light stone chips on bonnet ( but now im being really anal because whos car hasnt got stone chips?)

Also,

This car is fitted with a Boge sachs suspension kit. Very impressive. For fast road use this is one of the best setups ive come accross simply because it soaks up the rough english road surfaces extremely well and corners very flatly even at high speeds.
Obviously is not as razor sharp as a H&R Cup kit but its significantly more comfortable.

Have to agree Sal - that's a very nice motor! Love the colour too - my favourite, tho obviously rare.

Bought it to work today. Stopped off at Halfords for some screen wash and a few guys pulled up while I was approaching the car and were talking about how "efing mint" it was.

I should get my own garage soon, a larger capacity engine will be on the cards for this. Might do the budget 2.7 or go for something really refined like a 2.8 M52. Im not a big fan of this conversion but it will make a very torquey quiet refined car. No loud exhausts, as quiet as possible this time!

I must admit Sal that it is very very nice. If I had have sold my Sport, I would have bought this as a replacement I think. Very impressed.

Budget 2.7 is the way to go I think... would be a shame to make a 'mutant' out of it...

Clear indicators have been ordered!

Then iS spoiler is going on and the car is how I want it to look.

It doesnt cost a huge amount of cash to make any E30 look like this. You have to know a very good sprayer who doesnt charge the earth. I can get a door E30 looking as good if not better for around Ԛ£800 assuming there are no nasty dents in which case new panels are required. Filler just never looks right.

Cumon guys, spend some money on your cars! They are worth more than E36 cars now.

If we dont value the e30 highly then nor will anyone else and they will be worth pennies.

Where did you order them from Sal and did you get any Silver bulbs too? :D

M5pilot -

trust me - i know a good sprayer - my girlfriend!!! we bought the E30 as a project together.

Yup, I'll work hard to make it look good and I wouldn't be surprised if i ever sell it (hope not!) that it would make more money than the E36 I used to have.

Time + effort = something 2 b proud of!

Slightly OT but what do those Puma 1.7's go like. Apparently the engine was part developed by Yamaha.

:offtopic:

The 1.7 Zetec kicks out about 123bhp, its a bored out 1.4 i think but was handed over to Yamaha to tinker with. All alloy etc 8)

It probably goes about the same as a 318iS as they have similar power to weight ratios (Puma is 1050kg), altho the 1.7 is much torquier at low speeds because of its Variable Cam Timing! :bolt:
