Treated it to a wash now the new donk is fitted and running smoothly. Noticed a bit of peeling underseal so ordered some 3M08537 sealer to complete the necessary repairs.

Drove it to BMW to collect some parts, went and picked up some new tools too, all well and good. Waited for the postman to deliver my lockheed washers, unfortunately they didn't turn up. A week after ordering and nothing yet I've had other deliveries, RM really do annoy me.
Looks like I'm going to be driving to RR13 tomorrow with no handbrake and a slightly rubbing shoe, great.

Drove it over to a mates, drove back and had an odd knock/vibration that feels like it is coming from the near side rear when in second between 2000 and 3000 revs.....early start tomorrow before heading to Prescott, might have to go in the Focus.

Degreased, soda blasted, aluminised...
Thinking of doing this as a side line, keep your eye on the "for sale" thread if you are interested in sprucing up your engine bay for cheap.

I just drove it today, but earlier in the week I used it to take three loads of garden / builders type rubbish to the tip. I appear to have now turned my car into a rolling zoo for small creatures, as I've had to get rid of a bloody huge moth, three spiders, and I know there's an earwig missing in action
Oh, and I was greeted by another set of cobwebs when I got in the car today

F**k me jamlid!
I tripped over mine, again, bent and broken in the garage. Really must get it stripped and get a new shell.

Well after nearly 3 years of polishing, powder coating, painting, stripping and fixing. I finally drove it. And it was awesome.
