Rolled the cabby out my way, did some bits on other cars, then rolled it back in the way!!!

Did also finally get a stereo wired up in my touring so it now makes even more noise, and replaced the check panel I couldn't get out previously - and replaced the manky old coolant level sensor - though the light still stays on!!!

Mine made it out the garage for the first time in two years.

Pumped the tyres up, shoved in a new battery, turned it over a few times by hand and then it started first time.

Took it out of hibernation and gave it a good wash. Only drove it up and down to the hose in the car park, enough to realise how nice it is to be behind the wheel of an E30 once more. The E21 has character but is woeful when compared to an E30.

Just passed my MOT after a initial failure on brake imbalance, chatting to the guy he said the new system has changed it so they can't feather the brake or something they have to just brake and the machine does the rest, anyway I stripped the calipers off cleaned them and emery cloth the pads alittle then did a few 70mph-0 stops and took it back in and he passed it streight away. The calipers were clean as a whistle inside so I think it was the stops that did more of the fixing.

pushed my luck too far and ended up without a clutch in the York rush hour.
I don't know exactly how much the Police recovery is going to cost, but it won't be cheap :(

Last night on my own I fitted a replacement diff on the driveway in a couple of hours. It took longer in a garage with help before so I'm impressed that it went smoothly and didn't take long.

Just hope this one lasts now, all bolts done up properly this time though and with the use of medium thread lock. :)

On Monday I taxed it, washed it and did a temporary bodge fix on the wiring to the speedo sensor in the diff :o: and yesterday I drove it to work and back - it stood out like a sore thumb in the office carpark full of modern stuff :chuckle:

Got my ELECTRIC roof working!!!!! :D

Just need to do minor things on it now, like lube all the moving parts, alter the rod lenghts, so the movement is precise and finally put the sleeve over the small bar that raises the horseshoe to stop the roof material being soiled when it's stored in the compartment.

Roof itself needs to be sorted so that it folds properly - usual fiddling with the tension straps.

Electric roofs aren't that big a deal! :D

Probably break again, now I've said that!
