I would take the 911 too though it would have to be a right hooker. what would be interesting would be a price comparison between a c2 2.7 and a base 911 for say 1988 I bet they were closer than you might think in price and performance.

C2 and C4's are both 3.6 litre, be it a 964 or a 993. 2.7's were the RS and Carerra 2.7 (210 bhp with mechanical injection) or the base 150 bhp 74/5 cars plus the 175 bhp 911S (74-6) and 165 bhp 911 Lux. All these were soft tuned on K Jet. The 175 bhp 911S was a really lively car, 185/70 15 tyres.....

Andy, I think pnd meant a comparison between an Alpina C2 2.7 and an early 911 (any flavour).

yes I did. Although I accpet the porsche is a superior car to even an Alpina e30.

That seems very cheap for Rhd clubsport , even with 150k . Company i work for do a supercharger kit for these to give 450 bhp , add a set of KW suspension for an awesome weapon for less than 20k .Would annilate a 3.2 carrera in all departments .

i've had a passenger ride in a 968 sport with coilovers around oulton park, very nice and balanced feel from the passenger seat, even i could feel what the car was doing......very capable car

i then had a ride in a supercharged 968 which again, was a very nice capable car, although it only had about 40-50bhp over standard iirc


although the 996 gt3 was the best passenger ride of the day
