Failing that, put something bigger in there. m20b25 should just plug and play, but IMO, if you're going to rip it out, put something back in that is worth the effort!

your a metal!

traffic lights are great fun- good giggle.

and saying that the m20b25 is not a good engine............you are mental :screwy:
No, what I am saying is:

If you're going to go to the trouble of changing an engine, then you want your effort recognised. A b25 is a good engine, but you could sell your b20'd car and by a b25'd car. Going m30, M50, M52, S50 is what I meant.

Ultimately, I am comfortable in my masculinity not to need to race everything that happens to pull along side me...
ahh now that makes sense! i had the b25 and i have never loved an engine more!

but the m30 which is going in tonight might turn the tide?

i only race people at the lights if they look worthy but to be honest i do my fast driving out inthe country and do my best to stear clear of the chav racers.

but i do enjoy a good race now and then.

Whilst thrashing the nuts of a car from cold is never going to do it the world of good, the early M20 engine cracks heads because BMW cast them with a water jacket that wasn't quite thick enough, hence why BMW sought to improve it by making this area thicker later on. In all fairness, the E21 (when the engine was coded M60) was more affected than the E30.

I always let my car warm up before thrashing it.

But once its warm I abuse it on occasion (not constantly). Whats the point of having a car that you cant abuse?

Agreed mate. An occassional high rev blast does a car no harm and clears it out nicely (what I tell my other half anyway!).

oh so true!

and letting it warm up is done by people with a brain.
people who dont let their engines warm up should get a slap.

unless the engine aint worth warming up....like my 1.8 until it went pop.
just a good excuse to get on with the m30 :D

Would be easy to work from an old picture of Jazz, the 911. Replace Porsche bits with e30 bits?

You're the kid at school who has to disrupt the other kids when he's not included in their games.

You're the ginger kid that everyone bullies so he sits in the corner of the playground talking to his toy robot.

I know who I'd rather be.
