I can find plenty of clean iX's 4 door with a decent (but not great) equipment around the 600-800£ mark at home. And for great tourings, count up to 2000£, as I said earlier. Getting the car back costs you about 300£ including the ferry, and with the swiss papers, registration in england shouldn't be a problem.

Hmm, might have to check up on that. Sweden only joined the EU in 1995 so type approval might not be valid?

Switzerland never joined the EU, thank god. But as we're more restrictive on our mot, it shouldn't be a problem to import a car from there.
