Stainless is a soft material, as seen on split rim bolts, they tend to rouns of on the head more easily.
Titanium imo would not be cost effective.

Stainless isnt 'soft' compared to aluminium though :mad:

It's not just the adapter material though, you need to leave enough room for the bolts to fit, particularly on an overlapping setup where one bolt head has to fit inside the adapter, and enough threads for the wheel bolts to safely screw into

Stainless steel isn't soft? Aluminium is very soft and if adapters can be made from that then stainless is plenty strong enough, but expensive.

No easy way about making them smaller so, 18mm minimum

But S/S is more expensive, and I think this factors down to cost at the end of the day.
