Yes, a less than polite invitation to fuck-off. However, someone with a carrier back containing 4 or 5 grand more will have beaten you to it.s1oww wrote:When something's been for sale for ages and ages you'll be surprised what a carrier bag full of cash and a face to face conversation doespacerpete wrote:s1oww wrote:I love cars like this,
I'll go get this for 8k in June when the seller thinks it will never sell

Nope, you are spot on!fourmotion wrote:That car was at Gaydon BMW Festival last year. It made me a little nauseous to be honest....
A straight good condition M3 is worth way more than 8k these days. I've seen dogs sell for 12k on Pistonplebs! Everything on that car (for which we can see) is reversible and at least he's looked after the bodywork. It's more than likely garaged too.
When I went to look for an e30 M3 i went to look at a part finished project in zinno red. Amazing seeing it. All new trim, dash, panels glass, seats, suspension, brakes etc and freshly painted. However the rear quarters has been butchered and cut on the inside lips to accomodate big wheels. Not irreversible but certainly a massive amount of work to rectify....
Anyway, my tedious point is that all the tat might be hiding a really good shell and an honest and reliable engine - especially with 3 owners. It might be a case of buying an ugly duckling rather than polishing a turd

IF, and that's a BIG IF, the car has a sound body and mechanicals then tracking down and bolting on some original and lets be honest, not that rare parts in the grand scheme of things is preferable to welding up a rusty shell and or rebuilding an expensive S14.
I know what i would rather be doing.

Rich is just bitter and twisted because he dumped his turd for 11k and now he's rolling in some dub scrap

Got more than £11K Cheers. Sold in under 24 hours too, so not too much wrong with it either. I dunno if you called about it or not. I assume not. Pensions aren't what they once were are they. So can't be easy having all that knowledge but no money
What was it someone said "a man who knows the value of everything...
p.s I have no car at the moment.
