Very well done. Haha

It was a lovely post. I feel guilty now for trying to have a laugh.

hey, it's ok.. at least you weren't calling the poor guy a tosspot..

jeez.. if we could only go back and right some of the wrongs some of us committed when we first got into cars..

I put hydraulics on a beautiful MK2 Granada that had been garaged all its life and ruined it.. bent, chopped, no turning back for that poor car...

my first E30 (back in 98) had a DTM exhaust and a shonky knock off performance air filter which used to fall off all the time and I sprayed the following three cars in satin black paint...

bought from the pound shop.. (I kid you not..)

in the street...

and to save masking the windows I used to roll them down..

let he who has not committed automotive sin cast the first stone winkeye

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

What wheels are you going to get on the M3 Steve, have you decided or do you need help on that?

I usually only like the standard stuff, but those without the shininess and the centercaps would be pretty cool.

Deffo on an M3.

Id say good choice, but are you REALLY sure?

EDIT* Hang on a sec, why do I see some really nice wheels, accompanied by some , whats that? rivetted on rubber sideskirts?

Looks NASCAR style. They used to run those.

Ive read the thread in GOLD, but most of the pics arent hosted there anymore. I think there should be a recap.

Lucky i asked Steve, now you wont have to mod the M3 with Ford Sierra parts/wheel hubs or something.

Saved you some cutting and welding.

You should definately ask the chaps on here before you start molesting an M3 I reckon.

Avoid 320i's.. Sluggish and really thirsty! 318iS's can be had for not much cash.. And your wheels will fit! (with some spacers of course, almeras are a different offset)

I say ignore the haters, because the are plenty of others who admire his enthusiasm.

Like you said earlier Tom-Maverick, everyone has fucked up a car with crap parts.

I for one woudldnt be able to put a pre facelift wing on a facelift car even if I wanted too.

Good luck to you Steve, but what is it about the factory look of the E30 you dislike? Persoanlly I think they are fine as they are without a Mitsu Evo wing and all that stuff.

Ps Tom Maverick is ight, I bought a 318is last week and I absolutely love it. its got the suspension setup from the M3 on it (when it left the factory). In my opinion they are the prettiest of teh stock E30s too.

I paid under 1400 for mine, so should be well in budget + some money for work if you get the good money for your Nissan.

Id ask some zoner opinion on that M3 replica if I was you. Its got white carbon wrap on it, which I reckon is right up your street, but might put others off.

Like I said, I just feel sorry for the chap, even if he does appear to be a bit of an E30 butcher!

I don't think it's worth £2200. What are other Almira's in your spec worth?

Ive been on pistonheads looking. 04 ones with good spec and low miles are UP for 1200 to 1400.

SO realistically he might get 1100 to 1500 if someone really wanted one with a (looks like) Evo bodykit on it?

Stevie likes to sell for a profit. We found that out last time.

Stevie is about 38 years old. This isn't his first car. :D
