Back in the 1980s were all the City traders and yuppies besides driving Porsche 911 (Turbos) in Guards Red, were they driving alot of E30 M3s or mainly E30 325i Sports?

I think the E30 325i Sports mainly has a cult following in the UK at least because it is RHD and very few UK Registered E30 M3s despite the E30 M3s having a big halo factor. When you look at the E36 range everyone goes on about or wants to own the E36 M3 Evolutions as it is RHD. When you look at the E46 range everyone wants to own E46 M3s whether Coupe or CS or CSL as it is RHD.

The BMW E46 330Ci ClubSport is very rare but i read it has a fair bit of understeer and seems like a tarted up 330Ci. Give me the 330Ci SE with its understated looks anyday.

I always been intrigued to who has owned the E30 i have in the past and what kind of person/profession they are in out of curiousity.

As said the BMW E30 M3 was availalble officially in the UK. I think very vast majority are LHD a tiny few RHD though i am not sure e.g. BMW Japan version.

Does E30 325i Sport have a bigger cult following than E36 328i Sport or E46 330Ci Coupe Sport?

By the way Lion_yo you bastard nice car
Thanks but mind the language son
That must have taken ages to find did you know the owner before hand or something or just chance on it?

They were driving anything flash and German. I've heard it was quite common for people to part ex M3's for new Sports as they couldn't get on with the LHD or dog leg box.

The Club sport is just a tarted up 330Ci M sport with a quicker steering rack and slightly firmer suspension. Nothing more and not worth a premium over a standard M sport imo.

The first owner of my sport was the owner of a family butchers.

He was 70 when he bought it new in '89! 8O

Some of these old guys drive quick though. I cannot imagine Michael Schumacher driving like a typical pensionor in years to come.

I've owned my sport for 17yrs so professions have changed in that time but looking at the history it was well looked after prior to my ownership.

I must be lucky pony cos I've got a sport, M3 and the clubsport 8)

2002 on a 02 plate so I'm guessing not.

To be honest I'm not sure :?

It is not facelift version.

One thing i am surprised in general for E30s is the number with original BMW dealer stickers or number plates on the cars though this is usually found with the 316i/318i models.
