@Mercdriver put it like this, i find it very difficult to just look back at pictures of the motor now. Still cant believe it went like this and so close to being complete. Killer.
@SteSE im literally just looking out for bits maybe being sold from it - namely, the wheels. Dare i say it but they are very rare (as far as i know). Am i stupid to still hope its found in one piece, maybe, but im still hoping...

I would take certain parts out the car when parking it up so i cant be started ;)

You seem to have problems staying close to this car!!!
Best of luck finding it. Did the insurance pay you out yet?

is there many snap off steering wheel kits i.e. like they use on race cars, i guess that could be a good deterant for those low life scum
good luck in your search mate and be patient, what goes around comes around

I had E30 stolen a few years back, when I was living in London W6 .
Arrived home to find a note stuck to my car windscreen, asking if I wanted to sell it. I had to physically scrape the note from the window.
A bit annoyed I called the guy and said no I'm not selling, couple of days later the car was gone. I eventually started receiving parking tickets from Wembley, where I later found the car.
Wheels and a few other bits missing.
Never felt the same about the car again.

Still no news other than my neighbour telling me he MAY have seen it on Romford Road (Manor Park end) at around 10pm last week but didnt get a chance to chase it. Doubt it is still around so local. Thats it for me though - no more E30's, now trudging along in a Merc C230k W202 which i may do a few things but ive now got the whole 'drawing attention from scumbags' etched in the back of my mind which is stopping me from doing what i love doing and thats modifying cars!

Just read this, totally feel for you mate.
My motorsport cabby in sebring grey got stolen from my parents house in east Ham while i was on honeymoon.
Has to be the same people, i've wiped my hands with e30's until i move out of ilford and buy a house with a garage.
Have moved onto en e46 m3 now, not to say that that is any better, it has had the bumpers ripped off 3 times while parked up in Ilford.
The police are totally useless, i have has video footage and a number plate from the car the chaps came in, they don't give a poo poo.
No prosecution, it's just petty crime that is rife in Ilford.

only just read this.. i would be sick if my pride got stolen..
giggz im not in london anymore but i have a huge amount of connections in the east end, inc a hell of a lot of backstreet garages. (used to deliver parts to pretty much all of the garages in the east end) i can make a few calls at no expense if you like. if its still in the east chances are someone might know something....

mrb27 - Id appreciate any sort of help you can offer. Although its been quite some time since it was stolen, i can only hope its still in one piece (not likely). Feel free to PM me to talk further or just call me on 07904926226. It would be a load of Christmas' rolled into one if this was back in my hands.

It's time to pull this down I'm afraid, has been up since May 2011. Would every member reading this just skip back to page 1 and have a quick look at the following from the first few posts only:
reg plate
tech 2 front splitter
wheels
grill with german flag decal
rolled rear arch shell
rolled front arch
well used 6 branch
Also has a 2.7 engine built by a-tech. Unsure if he stamps the engines or not?
Unfortunately we don't know anything of the interior from this thread.
Thanks,

Just like to say a big thank you to the zone for keeping this up for so long. Im afraid ive not heard of any further sightings/news. I know its only a car but the fact that it was stolen and potenitially ripped to pieces will never really hit home. If anyone does have any info PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know. Id still have it back no matter what the condition its in. Thanks once again.

Would the zone consider having a 'stolen' forum specifically for these purposes? It seems a shame that these threads will work there way down and be forgotten about IMO

Thats a really good idea. With the amount of E30's being stolen recently, now is probably a time a 'stolen' forum would be best utilised and needed. Something to consider mods?
