E30BeemerLad, the K series has some superb output, especially when turbo'ed, but the head gasket is not the toughest to start with... when boosted.......... ooh no.
The old O series which was in the Montego Turbo was more robust and will bolt straight up to the box I believe, but the MX5 1.8i gives great reliability and an easy 130 bhp. Plus Turbo kits are available from scimitar.... 200 bhp? Easy!
