Agreed !! 7000+ members can't all have the same opinion. I think when replies to posts start to get smarmy and nasty ( intentionally or not ) that people get annoyed and generally can't be arsed with it all. I could'nt care about my post count or if I'm one of the old zoners or no, I'm here for a bit of help when I need it, mabye give some help if I can, buy a bit, sell a bit and also for the crack. It's a great site that I'm well addicted to. Just ask my missus...

and when i first started logging onto the old forum i thought
wow this is a really cool place to be

you had people falling over each other to help others out

now days it seems like they fall over each other to see who can slag someone off first.
(not aimed at everybody, and i am not pointing fingers)

i think this place has a lot of people that are far too oppinionated to be let loose on a forum.

it was a pleasure to log on and make a post on the old zone now days i sit here and think
oh i wont post that because someone will have something nasty to say
and i cant be arsed having arguments over the internet.

and i think it makes for a bad impression with new members joining up
what with all the coverage the zone is getting lately.

i just dont understand what is going on lately
it feels like a workplace away from work

I am just glad that there are meets where there are regulars that you can have a decent converstation with
without the chance for someone else to come in and ruin things

well thats all i am gonna say on the subject
not looking to start a ball rolling just having a mini rant i suppose

(waits in anticipation to be slagged off for comments made but i hope not)

without even reading the replies to this message, being new im shocked at the "ebay" section. people who are just normal folks trying to sell there car get nothing but dogs abuse from people on here ??

no need man!

IÔš've been around for years, and thereÔš's good and bad like everywhere.

My two pennÔš'orth:

Good Ԛ—a there just isnÔš't anywhere else you'll find so much knowledge and people who will go out of their way to help on E30s. And that alone is worth more than all the bad points put together.

Bad Ԛ—a I agree, the Pub Talk and suchlike forums should be canned, I've never seen such rubbish. And of course there is the occasional Onanist Ԛ—a the absolute utter best thing to do with such people is to completely ignore them Ԛ—a believe me, they will tire of it very quickly and migrate elsewhere.

Biggest single improvement Ԛ—a IMNSHO, a proper database of answers. Ploughing back through the forums to find something and coming up with 375 vaguely-relevant articles is why the same posts go in again and again, and people get tired of responding.

But at the end of the day, itÔš's still the best Ԛ—a so a big thanks to those who run it.

Gouki, problem is this forum's style is fairly conservative (not the worst, but not the best). To me, one mtech 2 body kit is much the same as the next mtech 2 body kit, and no, all red rear lights and clear indicators doesn't make it look a whole lot different! so, my old e30 looked quite similar to yours (but not a convertible). I'll find pictures later, i'm logged on to work right now and cba... :D
