The fact that you say you know them says it all really.
You show me a single case where anyone has escaped jail for well over 120 miles an hour and ill hand you the keys to my car.

however a good 2.7 with 200bhp+ would utterly rape a e36 328.... it will not however do 163mph (LOL)
I'm not happy with the use of this type of language. "RAPE" is not a word to describe cars. Loose language is fine among friends, but a number of people on the site will have experienced this crime, and this use of language will put them off E30zone.
Not trying to be an old arsehole, but let's be decent and kind to each other!

Not at all, they would immediately be sent for phsychiatric assesment at a hospital like rayside.
Why you ask? this isnt the same bloke who got away with doing well over 120 miles an hour was it couse if it was he is a lucky man.

Thats not exactly true, rape means many things including destruction of an item as well as extracting something without good cause.
The government rape me weekly when I fill my car with fuel, they extract money from me without true need and I am forced to pay for it hence being raped on a weekly basis.

A 328I IS NOT A GUTLESS WONDER
it is PEGGED BACK to 193bhp and as a direct result makes a fcukload of torque which more than makes up for the weight penalty over an e30
this forum could seriously do with less threads full of this sort of sh1t

whilst i agree with pretty much everything else that u, karan, adam etc have said bout performance etc, i do know of a case of someone "getting away" with high speeds.

where do u want to meet to hand over the keys to your car ?

err,
so it's pretty safe to say the e36 328 would beat the e30 325, and the e36 325 would be much the same standard ? (as the e30 325)

Before you start clearing garage space for your new motor chaos, read the artical he has to return to court still to face a charge of speeding. The guy actually got off with a charge of reckless driving. Sorry!!
Artis WTF???? I have enjoyed this thread, some strange shit happening!!!
Like i said before im lucky enuff to own both and the e30 is quicker off the line(weight??)

he only admitted 95m miles an hour and as mentioned has not been to court yet for the offence of speeding.
If artis brother did the posts then I accept that and have no hard feelings towards him, my brother is also a crazy loony and would do a similar thing.
I do find it off how larrybrown feels the need to send me a pm calling me a twat, I got up this morning with that warm feeling of love from him yet find his mating rituals different from the ones I am used too.

A case which is well-documented would be the recent one where the officer was "testing" the speed of the new patrol car.
From where will I be picking the car up?

I thought about this before I posted but he did not get found guilty of speeding so it doesnt count im afraid.
He was exhonorated from the crime of speeding.

Fair enough, though if you had thought about this case you probably should've thought more about your wording, as he was caught at over 120mph and did escape jail.
Oh well.

Some people just need to accept the fact that the E36 is a faster car, especially the 328.
When I raced one I had high hopes of showing him a thing or 2 but once we were past about 40 mph he was just pulling on me, more power, better aerodynamics and not a thing I could do about it. He was generally about 6 car lengths ahead of me at the end of the 1/4 mile.
I think the book top speed for a 328 is 147mph too, so on stock figures 10 mph quicker.
Come on people, accept it!

Tourerti . your keys are mine !. I got caught doing 149.6 mph on the m25 by lakeside in march 2000 at 7.00 am , i passed some unmarked coppers in a mondeo ! (bad move!). I came off for petrol at dartford services and as i rolled into the services the mondeo appeared!. The filth had no video just a speed reading but since i was in 'convoy' and the other hero had carried on i pleaded not guilty . The case went to court in basildon in september ,i hired a hotshot motoring lawyer but alas to no avail, i was convicted of dangerous driving. The convicting magistrates wanted my arse and talked of jail ! luckily the case was adjourned. The next bunch of magistrates were much better, i got 12 months ban, court costs and 40 hours community service so i was very lucky. At no time was i in police custody or on remand.
P.S being a reasonable sort i'll take a cash payment instead of your car !

Pete, you were a very lucky lad not to be sent on a holiday at HM pleasure for that speed mate!
Or were you just "familiarising yourself with the characteristics of the vehicle" as a certain police driver recently argued

So, just to confirm 100%, you were CONVICTED of driving at 149.6mph on the M25 motorway in a court in the united kingdom and you did NOT go to jail, I just want to be 100% sure of this before I give you my car.

EVERYONE goes to jail if they are caught over 119 miles an hour, it may be as short as 7 days but everyone goes to jail.
Thats bollocks, i got caught doing 127mph and i got off with cort costs +Ԛ£400 fine and 28 day ban
