glad to hear your ok mate
i've had a couple of nasty accidents over the years one of which shattered my arm so i know not a nice thing to happen. e30's can bite hard when the back end goes and they are not that safe.

Sorry about ur motor
Sorry about ur motor

Considering Selling the Cabby, looks like its gonna go
Wow, that is truly gutting to hear about.
Once again though, glad you are fine and that is always the most important thing.
Technically your conversion is all still 'as is' so a reshell shouldn't be too bad! Don't let it get you too down, see it as an opportunity for a colour change!

Glad to hear you're fine Lee, and that you've kept your priorities in orderE30BeemerLad wrote: climbed out the passenger door, grabbing my fags & phone on the way.
I can't believe after so much work you've had so little time in the car. Nightmare
You were lucky that you were surrounded by Zone Heroes, though. Well done all who helped out
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

In fairness if I was one of the punters in the car park I'd have been giving dirty looks too and very likely be looking for somebody to give a slap. Anybody coming onto the scene without knowing that it was caused by a blowout or whatever just thinks - "Busy area 30 limit - kids around - some c0ck showing off and puts it through a hedge, what if my kids were on the pavement?" Glad nobody was hurt, at the end of the day a car is just a car.
For sale - E30 320i racer project - sold.
just caught up with this thread and all I can say is ,Lee, I am gutted for you...I know how much hard work went into the project ...but remember its always easier the second time ..and the main thing is that YOU are OK ..it could have been a LOT worse ..

bloody hell! ive been off here for ages and i actually checked up on the build thread because it was one i was following for a while and was well happy to see it done! now im in shock.
i have been putting off getting some new tyres to replace the ditch finder p6000's on my mx5. im going to order them today!
when you get your head straight i hope you can bring yourself to re-shell the parts. im sure it wont take too long this time as the hard work is done.
glad to see you ok and good luck!

If I hadn't have read this thread with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it. Absolutely gutted for you Lee, there can be few on the zone that don't know the immense amount of work that went into this car.
The main thing is that you're ok, looking at the photos I'd say you were very very lucky.

I actually witnessed your crash lee and im glad to see your ok.i wasnt with the zone meet,i was parked beside you lot in the Comet carpark you had pulled out of and watched you all the way until the end result. the police presence was a bit excessive but when you get a phone call that a car has crashed the wrong way into maccy dees drivethrough you have to expect the worst i suppose. good luck to you anyway.
lee, the car in flesh didnt look as bad, prob's because it was dark when i turned up. looking at the photo's you are one lucky guy.
sorry to see all the hard work go.. but for some reason all my cars eventually end up in hartburn garage too.
I actually span one of the 325i's I had on the same roundabout about 10 years ago. luckily for me I ended up backwards in the petrol station a couple of metres further up the road. albeit I smashed the rim of the car I managed to get home on the 5 spokes of the rim.
the 928 S4 is still for sale...
see you at york soon!

Hey Roland, sheer fluke you were passing last night & a shame Dave Mac didn't have any rent on the screen of his chevy van as recovery would have been a good deal cheaper.
I'll pass on the 928 though thanks
Dezzy has been a legend helping out today with organising mates rates for the recovery of the car back to York. Should be back on the driveway tomorrow.
Thanks again to all those who have helped & offered to help

Anytime Lee you know that. Glad to help and glad she won't be going to the crusher. If mike's touring does find it's way onto your drive can I have the rear trailing arms.
.
If it's toeable ihave a ridged toe bar so we could maybe get it down to you that way?
Might be a bit early to be thinking about that though. See you soon bud

Like DaveD I have just caught up with this,at work last night and towed the 4 door to the wieghbridge early doors this morning, then sleep!
Gutted for you,do hope that you will have the comittment to start again, the second one will be a lot easier because you know where all the bits go now...and get some decent tyres!
Zone spirit is fantastic,we found the same thing on zone roam, one person's problem quickly becomes the party's concern.

It's funny - I was with Lee yesterday lunchtime at U Pull It raping a poor 320i. I experssed a liking for Audis
and lee said that he was thinking about a Compact.
'Pacts are silly cheap now, E30 back end and they don't rot. Plans were being made to paint the MoFo satin brown as well.
I had a horrid accident a couple of years ago at the Ring, head on with a biker.
