I love how iS owners cling so tightly to the Mini (poor man's) M3 'handling' card, I am surprised they even have the forearm strength left to turn the key..

I think you'll find that the baby M3 tag is something the press, forums and general BMW enthusiasts circles have applied to the iS - not actual iS owners on the ground so you're very wrong.

I could care less about flattering nicknames and rowing with prehistoric 6-Cylinder owners.

I'll settle for an engine designed with this centuries tech and some nice trick bits.

Throw in a smidge of exclusivity - not much - just enough to separate us out form the sea of common muck that is your 325i owner.

No M badge on a 325i Sport by the way - it's a premium saloon with a questionable bodykit and sports seats/dampers. Nothing more - if iS owners bleat on about how awesome M42's are then apply the same logic to Sport owners - what do they have - a supercar no less!

Standard 70K M40b16 316i against a 318iS with a Evolve chipped 100K 93' M42 with possibly an M20 flywheel.

316 was able to stay on it's bumper from around 30-80mph

Its only when the 318is finished wheel spinning and finally gripped at 80MPH that it started pulling away!

The only time i run a filter is during the summer months when theres no moisture in the air. But then again i only do about 2000 miles a year.
