I think i know the parts, just trying to picture them.gooner1 wrote:ImysE30 wrote:Looking good Rob![]()
Is it the seal that goes along the top of the windscreen and into the corners?
Cheers chaps.
No, Imy it,s the two parts ( per side) that fit onto the the
door inner edge and at the top of the B pillar. They are held in place with plastic rivets.
Will take a pic tomorrow, as they are pretty hard to describe/explain.
Might have them but will wait for the pic.

Today is the first time the Cab has managed to look half decent.
Not going to bore anybody with old pics, but as close of day and after what has honestly
been a rollercoaster of feelings., heres what she looks like this evening.

Lots of fiddly little jobs to do and parts to find, but i,m within reach of
getting my normal life back. An hour or so of cleaning the interior first thing tomorrow
and it,s ready for the German show, and more pics.
It, been emotional. Very.

Looking great, Rob. Your perseverance is paying big dividends. You must be chuffed.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is
Can't believe I've only just stumbled on this thread, but just have to echo the sentiments of pretty much everyone else - an unbelievable ballache from an unbelievable cunt, then some unbelievable fortitude in getting the thing sorted out once and for all. Just read the whole thread, think I'd have given up, not just on this car, not just on e30s, but motors entirely after being shafted like that. Great to see you've got such a great result of a car in the end.

Thanks to all for the positive comments.
Done the best part of 500 miles in it this weekend, and my smile grew wider by the mile
The BTB system was in no small way partly responsible for that, the difference in performance
is well worth the cost inmo, and the sound of it, especially when dropped into 3rd gear, is addictive.
Mo, the ride height is 60/40, installed by a P/O. not %100 sure of the setup he used, but it,s
by no means a harsh ride and even with 3 up in it there where no issues. When one of
those 3 was a large lump by the name of Rav, it makes it even more suprising
Really looking forward to getting the side skirts and front and rear valances on it now,
just to finish it off.
Couple of shots from Beaulieu(sic)

What would be the general opinion on smoked indicator lenses and side repeaters ?

sorry buddy, autistic 5000 vision, cant help but spot things like that.
still looks a little darker in the side shot but oddly enough the disassembled shots earlier in the thread look fine.
its more than likely a trick of the camera, the shade change is probably so subtle to the naked eye and with out knowing about is impossible to spot.

No need to be sorry Hairy, it,s exactly the kind of detail i need pointing out to me
Having said that, sunlight/shade dependent, the car can look 3 different shades of Red
at the same time.
PS, while i confess to not understanding 9/10 th,s of it, i,m loving your
