Well the day, depending on what time i finish work, has arrived that i get my
Cab back.
Going to have a mutitude of questions to ask of you all, re - refiting trim etc but have to say, i genuinely have,nt been this excited since...... erm, perhaps i,d better keep that private.
As an extra bonus, i have the whole weekend off..... and it looks like the forecast
is going to be perfect Cab weather. Bliss

Cheers all.
Fi , thanks for your very kind offer mate but i managed to sort one from
Spadge .
Re pics, trust me those who are,nt already thoroughly bored with this
thread, very soon will be.
Toby, the gaiters have escaped relatively unscathed, which is great seeing as they
were a Fathers Day prezzie from my Girls.
Just going to enjoy the car as it is now for this weekend, no carpet doorcards, , just the drivers seat, then i,ll swap the whole Exhaust system for the BTB 6branch and
straight through exhaust and start, slowly putting it all back together.
Got a vey nice set of Motorsport bubble leather seats to put in too, however i,m in 2 minds
as to wether i,m going to keep them or not, i,m sort of inclined to think they should really
be in a genuine Motorsport Cab. We,ll see.

Was hoping to pop over this weekend Darren,
then i started fitting my BTB 6 branch and exhaust system
and as normal, with me and exhausts, things have,nt gone exactly to plan
an exhaust on your jack jones.
On the plus side, the pile of bits, nuts, bolts, screws and unidentifiable objects is steadily growing smaller, however
the missing, broken parts list is growing like Topsy.
Have come to the conclusion , that the only way i am ever going to get my engine bay clean again, is to take the whole engine out.
That will have to wait till the winter though. Deep joy.
5 litres of Black carpet dye arrived yesterday, so guess who,s going to resemble Al Jolson by this evening.
Bloody computer has also began to behave like a neurotic woman with a crate of Gin, keeps breaking down every time i go near it.

Rob, I am so glad to see you sticking with this, and still not have your spirit's dampened to much.
I was impressed with the overall result of the car, even in that bright sun light when I saw it. Get the little niggly bit's sorted now (hours of work actually) and it will be a lovely motor again.
If you think of any little bit's you may need or a second pair of hands give me a shout I'm only up the road, and obviously keep us all updated on the progress, and let us here the BTB when you finaly get it sorted.
Good luck with it mate.

Working my nuts off to get this together for the German show next week.
Carpet cleaned and treated to 2 coats of Black dye, including the boot carpet
BTB 6 Branch and exhaust system now installed properly, sounds sublime
and has really livened the old bus up.
All new window seals installed, but not 100% happy with how i,ve done them.
So they,ll have to come off again.
Fitted a new kidney grille, got some better Fogs and a decent pair of Bullseyes i need
to fit to freshen the front up .
.
Bought a spanking new front bumber from Rav, cheers mate, and a all new Rubber trim for it
from Cotswold, along with a Number plate backing thingy. Unfortunately, the bolts that connect all the bumper together are now NLA. Which seems oddd
Incidentally, if anyone knows where i can find the two pieces of rubber that fit at the top of the front edge of the doors, and on the B pillar, on Realoem could they give me a shout.
Sorry, i have no idea of what they are actually called.
Loads of fiddly little bits to sort now but i,m getting there.
Will be bringing a boot load of bits and tools to Southampton next weekend, so hope y,all
are prepared to have your brains picked. Will start posting pics in earnest soon.

Zender kit and Jimmyhill awaiting paint Steve.
For a car that has taken this much abuse, whole engine bay
covered in a thick film of paint dust, i,m suprised and relieved it
even started yet alone performs as it does.
Have a very slight problem re the hangers on the BTB Backbox,
will ring them on Monday and get it resolved.

Is it the seal that goes along the top of the windscreen and into the corners?
Cheers chaps.
No, Imy it,s the two parts ( per side) that fit onto the the
door inner edge and at the top of the B pillar. They are held in place with plastic rivets.
Will take a pic tomorrow, as they are pretty hard to describe/explain.
