I've just been out to try them.
TBH, I'm not sure what to make of them. They don't really seem that much better than the halogens I had before.
One thing I did notice was that they were really bright for the first couple of seconds, then they dimmed down. Is there something (or have I done something) wrong??
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

The bright flash (arc striking) is normal, followed by a warm up period up a few seconds.
If they are aimed too low, they won't seem much better than the originals.

If anything, they are too high. :? Maybe I should have gone for 4300k. Checked the aim - level surface, 25ft from wall - they've got 0.5% dip and 0.25% lateral deviation.
