That'll be what the second throttle cable is for, I wondered why it went to the front of the engine rather than the rear.

very true dave, tis a manwell and has an alf a cruise control, waiting for new stalk, had nowt but bother, never mind, i'm not missing it to be honest, forgot about it till you mentioned it actually.

billgates, is your engine available for 'replacement dinner service' duty-its so clean even my ugly mush would look good in it

Yep. Both the cars in my sig have cost me an arm and a leg, but then i guess that's the price you pay for being in love with E30's. There's some pictures of my engine bay in the "PUB TALK SECTION" iunder the heading "WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?"
