I brim my 325i every time i fill up and i only do about 10 miles a day. With a bit of leisure driving too a tank only lasts me about and a week and a half generally because its running cold most of the time, not how i really want to be using it but oh well. I'd say i usually wont get much more than a 150 miles

A general and curious question. how many miles you getting to a full tank on your 325i?
mine has 63 litre tank and costs around £50.00 per week and i wondered what everyone spends and how many miles you get out of a full tank!
my car is standard bar scorpion le mans exhaust and k&n induction kit!
hope to see what the differences are between us!
Full to the brim,
motorway driving , the fast style.
310miles per 50liters (light just came on).
That´s 28.2mpg, wich I´m very happy with
That´s 10L/100km

i agree entirely, though at present i'm on £10 - £15 a time as if i fill it any more, it leaks!grantfk10 wrote:I can't work out why people stick in a tenner, or a score or whatever....
Is it not easier/less hassle just to fill the tank and run with it until it needs filled again?

i'm driving a 323i 85 2 door E30..live in malaysia where the climate is hot.
I oni get good mileage when i'm on the highway manage to get 260-270 miles for 43 liters. mine has a 55 liter tank..and i dun drive fast, oni maintain at 65-70 miles coz that the speed limits in my country.
If for city driving..the mileage is rather bad..Wonder how you guys manage to get such good consumption even with that kind of speed? Does it have to do with the things you added?
Mind sharing?
cheers

My 325 has a 65 litre tank...However, I only ever have managed to get a maximum of 58litres in as I bottle out of running it totally dry...
Day to day, 55litres gets me about 280-300miles, but on a motorway cruise I can get around 340ish from the same quantity of fuel...
55litres = 12gallons (imp)
so I get around 23-25mpg on a "combined cycle" of 40 miles per day running about 18miles motorway, 6 miles town and 16 miles on country roads...but then I drive quite fast ;)
Around 28mpg is possible on a motorway drive, but again, I don't hang about....I suspect if I tried hard enoug I could get 32-34mpg at a steady-ish 65-70mph
My M3 is marginally more economical so long as I don't behave like a hooligan (which is hard)....
Haven't driven the 320 Touring long or far enough to make a judgement, but first impressions are it will be around the same as the 325...if not quite as fast or as much fun.

that sounds about right.
Its also the same as an E39 540 touring, two up with 3 dogs (how we always seem to travel these days)
