This is supposed to be a thread about mods for the iS, not the iS versus 325 thread it's turned into.

Make sure it's running spot on, stick a proper chip in it.
After that don't waste your time on the engine and concentrate on the handling, grip and balance of the car.

So far iv removed the heater plate and chipped mine. Feels much better now i.e it pulls smooher. But the best thing iv done is the suspension kit.
Still wanna do more to the engine but all in good time.
Id say an iS with, shrick cams, lighter flywheel and a rolling road remap would be good fun. Throttle bodies are even better.

It's inevitable that anytime you mention 318iS or M42 then M20 and 325i will soon follow, further followed by an all out sh1t-storm about who is best.
By the way mods, it's not cool to keep changing my posts. I'm sure you're all chuckling away at your keyboards, drunk on the power you yield over a handful of petrolheads.
Kindly stop as it's a blatant abuse of what you're supposed to be doing.

I cannot remember which member it was who has one, either appletree or Demlotcrew. One of the other. Think it's a red motor. Do a search.Blitz wrote:Are there any superchargerd 318is? I like the idea of that instant power boost and nice whine
I have had a look at removing the heater plate, i can't think that this will only take 10 mins, i can't even see the bottom securing nuts for the throttle bodyschuey wrote:I have just sold my 325i so I can return to the IS crew! The six pots are sh1te. Anyway back on topic, the heater plate removal is a great mod, only takes 10 mins and makes a noticable difference!
