There was a couple threads about them being discussed a couple weeks ago. Use the search function mate. 4 cylender 2.0 mostly found in Portugal and Italy.

I say get a descent 325i with a lsd
DONT EVEN PUT THE I.S IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS THE M3. the only thing the two cars have in common are the 4 cylinders. as for the b20's they are smooth as... and if properly looked after(like any bmw) will serve you well.

i agree mate, 320 has a one of the smoothest engines of e30's.

oldroydsr4 to say there as slow as, there not that bad.

318is 136bhp 0-60 9.9 126mph

320i 129bhp 0-60 10.4 123mph

now there is not much in it and with a few little engine mods the 320i makes for a decent e30. and if you can find a nice 2dr 320ise thats been well looked after then you carn't really go wrong. Finding a 318is thats not been thrashed to f@$k will be pretty hard. pros and cons for both at the end of the day. :D

There seem to be a better slelction of 318is out there - have yet to find a 325 2dr for under 1k (although happy to be flamed and corrected :D )

Still tempted by tourings but I don't need all the extra space.

'is' have to be wound up to go where the 320i can just go from low down.
I'd have the 'is over the 320i anyday though, the 6 pot warble isnt that good on the b20 and the 'is is more lively.

Baby M3 the 'is is not.. it just has a few factors in common!
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!
