E36's are common....

the fact that i'd never even seen a real e30 M3 in my home town makes me sway towards the e30!!!

I've loved e30's since i bought one as my first car some 5 years ago!!!

E996 WWD - 320i SE... Dolphin Grey... heated leathers.... it was absolutely mint....

was written off doing about 20mph (wasn't a write-off, but i had to sell as the road-tax ran out, and i didn't have a drive to park it on!

I don't know about anyone else, but i personally would take a e30 over a e36 anyday...and that's for all of the cars in the range!!!!

Fact = M3 cab is exactly the same mechanically as an M3 coupe. Contrary to the urban myth perpetuated by the hoards of sparco clad c0cks who own M3s , an M3 coupe shell is exactly the same as a standard E30 shell with the exception of the rear roof extension and the bonded screens. This is why M3 shells flex/ crack/ crease and rust just like ordinary E30s , a problem exasperated by sparco c0cks fitting coilovers , -60 mm spring kits , big brakes etc :(

I like my e30 M3 but a e36 328i coupe with m tec and M3 wheels is a great combination and has less problems than a e36 M3

I must have heard the 'M3 cabbie is normal cabbie with an S14' from a duff source. :o:

So they didn't seam-weld the M3?

Sparco c0ck = annoying tw4t who turns up at track days, karting events, Mc donalds etc in his racing overalls complete with boots, gloves, helmet , tyre temp gauge etc etc and is usually out driven by any old herbert in a standard turd :)

This is incorrect.

The cranks are very strong, it's the rods that do not like to be revved much over 8k and this is what goes. It's not the power it's the revs. I'm using the standard rods in mt Turbo as they can take over 100 bhp each, as long as the revs are kept to below 8k.

I know of an S14 with aturbo and the S!4 crank and has 460 bhp.

I also no of a couple NA S!4, that rev to 9600 easily, but are set to 8500. One of them has done 30k kms of the Ring and was stripped this winter and had no signs of wear.

24valves would be on a 6pot. 4valves per cylinder x 6

and tobys would be 12v.

The S14 would be 16v
