I didn't feel it till I read this topic , but I'm  36! Guess I better move onto the E46's now......classifieds for a Black CSL winkeye

My 1st car was a 1977 320i (E21?) had the 4 cylinder fuel injected engine from the 2002 tii. Passed my test on my 17th Birthday and had a 3dr Sierra Cosworth at 18. Insurance wise I was VERY lucky and drove on my dads Motor- traders policy which my car (cossy) then only added £350. That went upto £700 on top of the premium the following year....which is when cossy's had to be not locked up but BRICKED up to prevent from being stolen. I had the car for just over 2 years before, yes, being stolen. I then went onto a brand new Astra GTE 16v when the updated version with the rainbow interior came out. That got smashed in the side by a bus. That made way for a new Volvo (I know) 440 turbo in 1990. That got smashed up the rear in a motorway pileup. I gave up on nice cars for a long while then untill my 30th Birthday when I bought my M3 Europameister. I had that for 18 months and bought another 3dr Sierra cosworth which I still have. I regretted selling the M3 then, but now I have made up for it as I now own a Black Sport Evo, Blue Evo2, Nearly complete Red Sport Evo and half a red Evo2. Insurance wise now, being 36 cough nearly 37, insurance is not really a big issue, but I am no longer on a motor traders policy but have the M3's on Classic insurance.
I also have 3 E30 318is's and an E30 325i tourer. I also have a some other vehicles of the french veriaty which I prefer not to mention to retain some pride and respect!!

Im 22 - passed my test when i was 19.

My first car was a '95 rover 218sld turbo - such a nice car to drive - bought for £600, killed, scrapped

Second was my '91 E30 318iS - Was practically mint, had done 215k miles though - bought for £650 then http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... highlight=

Third was my '90 E30 320iSE - Was bought as a temporary runaround - Now stripping for parts and will be scrapped

My current motor is my '88 E30 325iSE - bought for £700 - must have spent at least £2k fixing problems and bringing back up to spec... much more to be spent on her

I have deffinately spent more on insurance than on buying cars... i am finally under the 1k pa. marker
