sometimes its better to cut your losses and run

this sounds like one of those times to me fella

frag it

keep the kit sell whatever you can and find a solid shell

your mechanic is about to pull down your pants and have
his wicked way with you both if you try saving this shell

harsh realitys, if the rot is as bad as you say forget it

ps i have a 4dr 325i for sale taxed tested winkeye

Dude, rust is equivelant to the humans body "cancer", you cut it out BUT nothing is permanant ... simply your buying time.. it comes back!! unless you treat it heavily thinking its safe... but like when you kick a football against a wall -- it always comes back!!!

So you asked if it's too (well in your words 'to' ) rusty to fix and whether it's worth saving. Everyone said it's not worth it and that you should break it, and you decide to patch up the shitter.

A decision you will come to regret, that car will be hiding major issues. Check behind the kit, under the carpet, around the fusebox, behind the glovebox etc etc. And you will find more rot.

£1000 later and you will have a car worth about £1.87 more than it is now.

PATCH UP THE SHITTER... LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL sorry you lot, this is turning out to be hilarious as theres a car thats probably gonna fall apart with rust and everyone here is trying to give some sound advice, gotta remeber one time or another, whilst driving this DEATH TRAP you may have chunks of rust falling off in other places unexpectidly......... live long dump the car, or die young keep the car!!! your choice.. every time you sit in the shitter you clock is ticking....

Get some cardboard and some red welding (fibreglass paste) in there, good coat of underseal and drive the shitter up a few muddy tracks. You know it makes sense.

Choice is yours - Go with the good advice with some of the experienced people on the hread whose advice you asked for.

Or ...................

Personaly i would sell the parts. And look for a really clean example

Dont underestimate the knowlage of some of the people (not me) who have given you advice on this one mate. Some of them have seem a million rusty turds in their time. If their telling you its not worth saving then its not - FACT

If I was you i would be listening mate

dont bother with the repairs. for the price you have said i doubt the repairs will keep the rust away for long. your a very lucky that you have got that kit and those wheels on youre car so make the most of it and sell it in parts, save a bit of money and you may get back enough to buy an e30 that wont be rotting away as you drive it.
