She gets used everyday for work and back (7 miles ish) Gets a good run on the weekend when i get my wages though. Had to save money on fuel for a while though as there was a few repairs done recently. She was moaning and groaning more than my girlfriend (and thats saying something!) but most major work carried out, so now its back to

wheres the option for winter use only
my sport was used by my wife as daily driver from 50C summer heat to cold 20C winter days, and the lad i sold it to (a scouse) still runs it daily.
my cabby gets used three or four times a week and only in winter but i have a land cruiser as daily driver, although i do occassionally give it a summer run to keep the A/C compressor gas seals moist

Weekends only or very sunny days
. I'm lucky enough to ride a motorbike for a living so my convertible is a pure indulgence. Wife has an E class estate to move the kids and sailing gear around (wet sails
)

Every day, into work 7-8 miles. Used at weekends to take the boy swimming, or down to the rugby club......Cleaned the inside this weekend started on it at 8.30 and finished at 3.45pm, 16 years worth of shit in the boot, dust, dog hair and stains etc etc
.......Now looks the bollocks....
(help me to post pictures please).

Used to use my E30 for my daily drive to work/evenings out, and my £450 Toyota for shopping/general runabout. Now I work from home, and my E30 got used once last week.

Weekends, meets and trackdays only for me but she still does around 8-10k a year

Everyday - 42 miles a day, which at 26mpg is depressing!
Thankfully I am about to move house, and it will only be 22 miles a day! Also summer is on the way so the bike will be coming out to play!

Most days, the car doesn't like standing still anyway. Sadly I can't commute by bike since I moved - biking to work is about the most healthy decision you can make.

Its my only car but I only do about 7000 miles a year. Don't really need a car, its just for fun! Living in central london its more of a pain than it is useful.
Can't believe all you lot who drive 10miles or less a day! Cycle like turbo-brown said, you will save yourself a load and enjoy the car more when you do drive it. You'd be surprised what you can get on the back of a bike, I got a exhaust header no problem on the back of mine - ask Malc!
I find my car drives the best after its had a long rag in some mountains or a bit of "Italian tuning" down the motorway. If I do drive to many short trips in it I find it gets a bit asthmatic...

EVERYDAY work and back, and all weekend. I find an e30 puts a little class on the road and puts other cars to shame.

i use mine everyday, being as its nearly mint, its a headache keeping it clean, i just like the sound of an E30 and the driving experience its great

will be back in an E30 oneday soon !

You don't have an option for winter use only
. So I voted for everyday use. I use mine mainly in the winter as in summer I either ride my bike to work or drive my Healey

what a waste. I did 6000 miles in 4 months with my last car. It annoys me when people have a nice car but keep it under a cover in a garage and dont put any miles on it to preserve it.
USE IT! Its not there just to look nice, its there to be driven.
sorry thats not a personal attack on you falkster, just a general rant.

I agree with you to a certain degree but its just the way it is. I dont want to put 30k on it by using everyday (motorway driving is a waste of an E30 M3)plus I dont want it to spend all day in a car park (thats a waste also).simian wrote:what a waste. However I took it out all week last week as I was on holiday and it was great.....absence makes the heart grow fonder!!

I've got 2 E30s...
my 325 is a daily drive...the M3 is currently undergoing a full engine rebuild and upgrade but is a weekend/occasional use/trackday car even when fully fit

if i used my 325i sport for everyday use! I would be skint, on petrol and basic running costs! In the summer i will take it out any decent day! I intend to keep my sport completley rust free and in the condition it is at the moment.......if i used it in winter, i am just asking for it. I simply wouldnt leave it in carparks, there are some very jealous people out there.
