I thought the show was very dissapointing but you cant expect too much from a hall that size.
I was only their for about 45mins but I saw what I wanted to, im not the kind of person to spend all day at a show, even after a 2.5 hr drive. I did however manage to part with some cash, I got a few bits of engine bling from Mirage, a Ԛ£40 xmas pressie for my dad (I wont say what incase he reads this, I dont mind him knowing how much they cost though!) and a set of E34 15" alloys for my dad for Ԛ£50, he only needs 1 but the guy wouldnt split so ill stick the rest on ebay. When I drove in the side gate to collect the alloys, I was suprised by the amount of interest my car got, you cant beat a chrome bumper council turd!

I wouldnt bother going back to the show, I wasnt impressed with Gaydon either. After spending years on the chav scene with big shows like Trax and some time on the Vauxhall scene with their show at Billing I thought both BMW shows were small with a lack of people selling.

(I hope the above makes sense, I was interupted about 4 times while typing it!)

Andyboy wrote:It was shyte, but that's the BMW Car Club for you. The bottom end of the hall was dead - there were more interesting cars outside. Very poor and I too think it's dead. It's been going downhill ever since the good old days of the Driver's Club. In those days it was absolutely packed full of cars good and bad, thumping stereos and a good atmos. As soon as the Car Club Nazis got involved they tried to turn it into an upmarket event which is just ludicrous.
God I bloody hate Car Clubs and the BMW one is worst that most.

BTW Did anyone see that Ԛ£3000 E reg 325i that had been painted with a bicycle pump and a yard brush? :D
Oi Everett....what the hell is that shirt you are wearing in the ring feature in this months Total BMW!!!!

Yeh have to agree with the masses here, was disappointed with Donny this year. Weather WAS complete pants though! Not been for a couple as E34 been off the road for ages, and using company shed. But the organisation didn't seem to be there. Expected a lot more TBH.
Would you guys not join the BMWCC then? Are there others to join?

I'm a member and even though i dont post on their site, i've always found them to be very helpful when i needed something especially Ron who is the E30 boss man. The monthly mag is quiet good as well and you get discounts at quiet a few places, but i don get the feeling that some of the members are a bit too old fashion for want of a better word :o:

A few years a go, it was a show to look forward to cause it was packed with lots of modded cars, plus near standard ones, so there was something for everyone and a real family day out, but now it's just full of standard cars and the car park normally has better cars. You know something is wrong when Dips couldn't get his turbo M3 in there last year

Some good old timers but far too much new stuff (ie minis and new cars which you can see in the showroom all day long).

Ԛ£10 to walk in .........never again.

Good to see friendly faces, best in the car park.........................

I personally think Dony is now DEAD.
Its why i did'nt go again, total crap.

Having read all this I think I made a wise move by not going.

I like Gaydon, Santa Pod and the local London meets at Lakeside (when I can make it) and Ace. That's enough for me.

Doesn't sound like I missed a great deal.
