Is a straight cut box not just a dogleg box? Sounded like a sequential box in the hillclimb.

Straight cut sequential box in the hillclimb E30

An M3 dogleg box has normal helical cut gears because its a road car (dogleg is the term used for the shift pattern), where as race car will have straight cut gears because noise isnt an issue and the straight cut gears reduce the transmission power loss etc.

There is a road going, track prepared Clio in my area thats running a straight cut box (not sure if its sequential), it may be Clio but it sounds nuts

its defo the gearbox fellas ,straight cut the sound is awsome espcially when the gear changes are like that one,
