None of the above... well, I guess it's to do with the performance.
It's all about the noise the 6 cylinder cars make.
My first E30 was a Tech1 Sport. Awsome machine. Had it for 3 years and spent oooooodles of money on it. 9 E30's later and I've just moved on a base model 316i - Surely that's the wrong way round! lol
Will always have a soft spot for the E30.
Why did you buy your first BMW

Originally - I was in a rover 620gsi - i was younger - it was cooler than my escort which got nicked - I had bought my car for my mum as she only drives auto's - There was a guy on my road who had a collection of bmw's - every weekend he'd be out restoring - i loved his tourer - dark money green - full black leather interior - gorgeous! After an accident i started driving the e30 that i bought off him(in hind-sight i think i got ripped off) - The problem was it was bog standard and looked so old. However in wonderful cond and it drove/sounded amazing! I love the design of e30 nothing like it - i think my appreciation for the car really took off when i discovered the zone!!!....

I had a small crash in my Fiat Coupe and needed something cheap and reliable to get me around while the Fiat was off the road. A mate of mine showed me a nice 318 Touring for £800. My fiat is black, the touring was white. The fiat was a FWD turbo, the touring was a 1.8 RWD. I really wasn't sold on it until I test drove it and something went click in my head.
I'm now onto another white touring, this time a 325i and the Fiat is still off the road....

First BMW was an E21. My mate had a 323 and we had spotted another E21 with a full Zender bodykit including square headlamp conversion. My mate knocked on the door asking if he would sell the bodykit, the guy said no but he was selling the whole car. I was looking for a car at the time and the rest is history....

You need an 'All of the above' option!
My brother had an iS that got me into them, it was feeling RWD round a corner was such a different feeling and I fell in love. If you want RWD then choice can limited and the BMW ticks all the boxes - price (what I could afford), looks (mean
), performance (handling not bothered about ultimate top speed - it'll only get me in trouble!

my cousin brought a tech 2 sport when i was 12ish, in silver, tinted windows, decked on bbs's and a lovely exhaust burble, he picked me up from school in it, seeing it parked outside it was like omg! it stood out from the astras and escorts the teachers had, it just looked bad ass! and going inside, the feeling of recaro leather seats then the torque on the ride home, throwing me back in the seat, then coming out of the car, with my legs shaking,,, since then, i have always wanted an e30 with tech 2 kit... though i cant insure a sport, do too many miles for a 2.5, so settled with a IS... will do the exterior mods first,, then when i can afford, the engine will get sorted...
hes still got it mind you,, 2.7'ed it years and years ago,, has since broken several drivers seats,,, big guy,,, loads of torque, seat frame brakes lol.

Always had rear wheel drives and fed up of ford breaking down and no power, then the Manta! Parts? serious lack of, so thought quality car rear wheel drive..... either 190E or E30, 190 being a bit old manish so E30 won, tried an RS turbo, Golf GTi, XR2i but nothing gave performance, reliability, quality rear wheel drive and ease of parts like the E30, I'd never get anything else now, well, maybe the M3 E30........... drifting in to a dream........
