Having something that's old skool but still much cooler than anything modern (say a Ford Ka... or KAK!) and eurobubble

The ability to drift around corners without understeering all over the place and not shred front tyres in 3 months on the roundabouts.

And lastly the fact they're a much more involved driving experiance, rather something that's got everything done for you by computers.

these cars are awsome this is my second and its the best thing since sliced bread the fact that it gets more attention than any of my m8s cars (seat cupra golf vr6 saxos etc ) really pisses em off :) .

the way the car feels and rides even tho it is 15 years old is amazin just shows that the build quality is the best .

i love the fact that my red car with the black grill black eye brows and blue side lights looks so evil

I like that the only car I have that will *always* start is an E30. Oh, and an old Daihatsu jeep. But you get the idea.

just my opinion.. but i've had mine nearly 2 weeks. when i got in it i instantly thought of over-age pompous arrogant tossers.(not that any of you are).. thats just what i thought. the stereotype.

anyway.. after having it these past 2 weeks i have to say i don't like it 1 bit, apart from the eyes on the front.

it's wallowy, old, tired, lacking in spirit, heavy!.. the list for me goes on.

when my GT4 is fixed i'll be a happy bunny again.

no disrespect to anyone.

they just feel and look right to me, i've yet to drive another car which ticks all the boxes an E30 does for me. The involving drive being a major point, the looks are what drew me to them in the first place, the 6 pot engines and m-tech kits etc are all just a bonus to me

Thought of something else.

Was driving down the A12 the other morning to work, following an e30 tourer, and in the fast lane was a new x3.

The thing that made me proud was that a near on 20 year old car looks better imo than a new design from the same company. Timeless design i think.

the way car handles and drives is nice, its got a good response to it. 6 pot roar always, sounds lovely when burbling along at 30 and even nicer when it hits 6k rpm! Also like that the fact that my engine has a small oil leak for at least 11 months and still hasnt given me any problems yet, its been taken on motorway trips, had some experience of in town driving congestion and it still battles on!

I get a big smile on my face every year in September as the weather cools down, and i can get my cab out of its summer retirement, the Z3 is fun but no car gives me a better feel good factor than an E30, be it a 316 or an Evo sport. Also like the way that apart from badge and a few other bits (only really noticable to those who know )a 316 can be as admired in the same way as a 325.

it a timeless design and does not look dated even for a car designed almost a quarter of a century ago.

For me it's the way it handles, its totally standard on cheap ass Fate-o tyres and it can hussle along down country lanes at not far off the pace of my old scirocco GT2, which was lowered on pirelli tyres
It's a good testiment to the bm and the camparison run was before i eaven checked the tyre pressures (found 40psi in the rears.... handles eaven better with them at the correct pressure)

Then theres the noise  i dont think i will be happy with the 4 pot snarl again now i have the 6 pot purr

(although 1 day i do want a 80's audi quattro turbo for that 5 pot noise and group B rallying heratige)

I was about 7yrs old when i saw my first E30. Back then it was all Porches, Ferrari's etc... every sport's car going. I used to be in the back of my dad's car shouting each time i saw a Porche :P

I was walking down the high street and saw an E30 Tourer, Red. It looked the nut's and i thought WOW!, i want one of those when i get older. Remembering the fact that the only car's that stuck in my head all those year's ago was sport's car and i wanted an E30 at 7 LOL

Ever since i've owned one, i've never been disapointed! Ofcourse you get your up's and down's but if we did'nt life would be boring!

Spend some time, get it running right and you will get your faith back! :thumb:

Driving through France in my E30 cabrio, being pulled over by cops claiming routine customs check, them finding nothing and leaving me with a massive grin on my face as they drove away.

That after being stopped and questioned at EVERY police checkpoint on the way over and back during my mini-adventure into Europe this weekend. That never happened with my 306. Quality 8)

Exactly! If this is done properly, then you will have the most reliable and long lasting car on the road.
