also does your wanker theory apply to ACS and Hartge badges as well??
But external M badging on a pretty much bog-standard 4-door 320i is a bit wrong, don't you agree?
And yeah the theory applies to all badges on something that doesn't deserve it.
To me it just makes it look like you can't afford the car you wanted (i.e. something deserving of an M badge).
As has been said though it's a matter of personal taste (or lack of it) - if you like it then it doesn't really matter what others think.
in that case you are refering to any aplina m-tech AC badge then, were you going to keep the BK racing badges on you fake alpinas ?? (a popular choice on any e30, i had them many years ago)
if a dog of an e30 has a bagde fitted, well you can call him a nob if you want, but their personal choice.
now the issue on not affording the "real thing" is bollocks, my IS ia an example, i spent a long long time hunting down the correct parts to but on the car, and the car deserves it. if i wanted the real thing i'd go out and buy it, but i couldnt fing one, so i built one.
if some one builds a car and its tastefully done, wht the fuck not.
basically you've just called 90% of e30 drivers on this forum wankers

I had never intended to keep them so it would be up to whoever bought them.Kos wrote:so you are refering to extertnal badging only then??

Did I not say this?Kos wrote:if a dog of an e30 has a bagde fitted, well you can call him a nob if you want, but their personal choice.
Never did I use the phrase "real thing". I'm sure I said a car "deserving" of a certain badge. To be fair though Kos, I'd say your iS is.Kos wrote:now the issue on not affording the "real thing" is bollocks, my IS ia an example, i spent a long long time hunting down the correct parts to but on the car, and the car deserves it. if i wanted the real thing i'd go out and buy it, but i couldnt fing one, so i built one.
I wouldn't say 90% of E30 drivers have badged-up their turds.Kos wrote:basically you've just called 90% of e30 drivers on this forum wankers

an m3 badge on a 316i? that is a massive no,no,no,no,no, @ucking NO!bootyman wrote: As said by many. It all comes down to personal taste, but i do agree that a M3 badge on a 316 is not right

I thought i was the only one who had done this, and was kicking myself for it. With what i have spent on my 1.8 (hardtop), i could have bought a mint genuine sportJAMZ wrote:..i could of brought a Motorsport anyday of the week with the money spent on the CaB..

Yep you said it James!!!Can, open, worms.......... everywhere!
This is true people...Zay was the first to reply to my question! The wanker comment was meant to be light-hearted and the person at whom it was aimed took it this way....

not quite my words, however i'll ask a question. does any one remember the italian white 4 door 320is sold on e-bay recently????Zayyan wrote:Kos wrote: What it seems you're saying is that it's fine to put an ///M badge on a 4-door 316 auto if it has an M-Tech steering wheel?
