lol yeah i meant what ben said! but i do think a lot of the cars don't actually start off with alpina/bbs and mtech2, people put them on 8O

i think it looks nice but it's so so overdone that's why i hate it, maybe that makes more sense...

Don't expect he'd struggle to find somewhere for the nitrous to go either! winkeye

Do I have to take my BBS off before I'm allowed to fit it though?! Better get polishing on my other wheels then! :D

:offtopic: But how much power to individual tb's give and what do they do to the drive - is it a faster throttle response?

Can you whack them on any motor on their own or do they need to be part of a more thourough upgrade?

Cor nice to see you so on the ball ad318i. I did say in my original post that he's been trying to sell it for a while which is the whole reason for this thread winkeye I'm only kidding dude

I think we should make a list of who wants what and buy the car and break it. I'll give Ԛ£200 for the engine and Ԛ£2 for the noz :D

well this is the point, look at twiggy's car here:

http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... ht=#285244

only changed the wheels from standard/bbs/alpina and omg

re: throttle bodies - you get an amazing response, from what i hear....

i know the figure sal's mentioned above (Ԛ£3.5k), but that's a lot less than he's spent at bexley's to get that....

Throttle bodies really need to be used as part of a complete upgrade program to be honest.

It really changes the power delivery. Throttle response is vastly improved if the fuelling is setup correctly and the AFM is gotton rid of.

They really work well with something that has a really lairy engine like some of the 2.7's. It allows you to use 288/288 cams and still have a decent enough idle which is cool!

I was probably the 1st in the UK with those Keskins for my blue cab winkeye I got mine from Style Dynamix and it was the 1st set and with gold bolts instead of the usual silver

Come on then. What are we doing about the car in this original thread winkeye

Ziggy Ԛ£2.51 and that's it :D

Botoyman, spot on with your post. I deliberately didn't buy alpina 17's foer my cab. I think they're really nice wheels but they were too easy and obvious, an option to pick. I wanted something different that also doesn't appear on every chicken paxo (citroen saxo) on the high street.

I eventually settled on a set of league black widows, 17". Not to everyones taste. On my black cab, lowered 40mm, the dark chrome effect of them sets the car off nicely. I know this isn't to everyone's liking, and once I've rebuilt my home pc I'll upload a piccy. I like it and I get nice comments about it from kids of 6 and pensioners of 66.

I appreciate some may think it's chavvy and I respect the fact that what I've done may be detrimental to the value of the car but I like it.

I think what you have done to you car, bootyman, looks fantastic, a fine example of how modding can be done to a high standard and look good too. Any tw&t with the cash can buy bits and have a respray but the art lies in the decision making, that I can respect, even on a saxo.

I personally prefer the reiger e46 kit, I think it subtly brings the car up-to-date without being too wild. Looks different but takes two looks to establish what is different about it.

The great thing about forums like these is it gives everyone a chance to express their opinion and share their thoughts and views. However the point is missed when they are used to rail ropad people into conforming to a set type

It is a shame though that we all slate anyone who tries to be different, cause wouldn't it be boring if we all drove standard E30's with 17" Alpina's? :D

I've noticed that when someone post's a standard car in the photo's section, everyone comes out with how nice it is, even though it's a pile of sh@t, but anything modded and you're in for a special Zone treatment. So much so that Gouki got such a slating when he joined that he's starting to clone his car to almost standard just to be accepted here (All my openions of course, but i think sadly it's true) Well some of us like our chav kits and bling and we're taking over the World. When i win the lottery i'm going to buy every E30 out there and chop them up and stick massive kits and even bigger wheels and stuff on them, then we'll see where you'll all be winkeye :D

Ok. Who can tell i haven't got much to do at work ??? :D
Ben not gonna remove the kit thats on my ride bro! Some things had to be change/removed on mine to get it looking that bit better and plus I got a new front end Master Plan! Besides can't leave you out as the only modified owner of an E30, gotta have my poor mans version of the bootywagon rolling too homey! And yes if were all driving standard E30's with Alpina's it be all too common. Agree with Mr Blatant, i could have gone down the alpina route but wanted something different and I dont think i did a bad choice, well I'm satisfied so thats what matters, each to their own like.

Think Dale's car is alright, the colour is nice, there are a few things I would change but I think its alright, think he'll have a hard time selling it at that price, takes the right buyer to pay the money he wants. But like anything else whatever you spend on a car you'll never make that back.

[quote="bootyman"]I was having a look around ebay and noticed it's back up for sale again. He's been trying to sell it for a while now and i'm a bit suprised it hasnt already gone cause i know he's spent a lot of money on it. It was on seeing his engine that made me want to bling mine too and i know the price is asking is less than what's under the engine alone, so why hasn't it sold? I dont know much about prices of coupe's but do you guys think he's asking too much in todays climate? :(

Dale is like myself into bikes more than cars and since passing his bike test and getting a bike the car has just sat in the garage, as he also has a van, we were talking about it a few weeks ago and it didnt sell last time he put it up for sale, he then decided to keep it after taking it out one day to clean it but again it has just sat there so half of him is saying sell it and half keep it.
