Is there a way that when you read a thread and say you are on Page 4 that the next time it takes you to the last page/post when you revisit?

Click on your name in the to right hand corner and it’s all in the UCP (User Control Panel)

i tried that but can't find the time set bit or pm email alerts , all i can see is the change password or change colours on background ...

It’s on a tab called ‘board preferences’ if you on your mobile it could look like 3 lines under each other
