A while ago I know, but for those that were interested, I've only just found this thread, its my car, I've had it 9 years in August this year, its not for sale now or in the near future. The M Tech kit is original, I have the Sytner paperwork that goes with it which shows the complete build spec from new. The car was fitted with the Alpina conversion and M Tech kit together with a fire extinguisher and mat set from new. Re valuation, its been independently valued at £30k due to the rarity of the documented spec from new and colour combo and is insured for such.
As for the rear panel, I believe having had a thorough inspection of the car carried out, its quite correct, I believe it was changed, but that's how I got the car and I like it as it is. You could change it back if you really wanted but to me its part of the cars history. I did get a quote to put an original early panel back on, but ummed and ahhed about it and decided to leave it as is as the newer rear panel suits the M Tech2 kit better IMO.
Its done around 800 miles since I got it, always mean to get it out and drive it more but never get the chance, but love it to death never the less. I did get it out to go to Bicester Heritage last year, where this chap took this picture

Thanks for the interest never the less, I did own an E30 M3 convertible prior to this and do much prefer this car because of its exclusivity and the 6 pot engine and RHD.
As to DanThe comments above, I'd love to know what you think is wrong with the car as we've it thoroughly inspected and every one has said the car is about as solid an E30 as they've seen.
