E34 M5 will go up in money too cheap at moment as will the z3M coupe. I think the e46 m3 has a little way to go, too many around at moment and if I was buying one I would go for a manual coupe with as low miles as possible.

I think E46 M3s still have another 2 years left to bottom out, the slight price rise at the moment will be due to summer approaching.
I'll be looking out for a low owner, low mileage, FSH E46 M3 with manual in 2017 for keeps... Circumstances allowing. But I don't see E46 M3 prices rising much after they have bottomed out and I think I would still be losing money after taking inflation into account.
However I won't care much about car price rises once I have got myself the my desired cars as I would never sell them... I have E30 because it's my dream car and would like E46 M3 for S54 being the ultimate evolution of BMW's in-line 6 cylinder engine.
