There's mint - and theres box fresh!

Like when you opened your first pair of Air Jordans and the smell of fresh nubuck, polyurethane and a hint of far eastern child labour washed over you, filling your olfactory bits to bursting.

I said GODDAM!

Thats how fresh matsz is gonna be innitz.

Great idea.

It is a good idea as the plastic heel pad is prone to wearing out long before the rest of the mat and also lifting on the corners where a heel gets dragged across it.

Just saying
Err, its a dig at the manufacturer's immoral practices so yes it kind of is very different. Maybe you didn't see that because the humour is what is known as 'subtle' and not something you'd really understand.

Not the same as wading in with random and irrelevant 9/11 jokes aimed at someone of Arab origin. Nice try tho. Not.

@Rav - I just don't know what to say to / about you anymore...

As a minority you should know better than to insult someone on that level. But showing off in front of Kos is all you have I guess.

Defibatky , I've been through a pile of maybe 20 sets of mats at adit's on a couple of occasions and picked out the best , most with heel pads were split , most often the split and wear was in the central Bmw logo area quite worn with a split in the middle , and the raised corners

I'd defo love to get my hands on a couple of heel pads

Mods - trying really hard to just be civil here - but these two pests just don't know when to stop.

Maybe delete this Kos Rav noise so we can focus on getting something done here...

Cabrio mats are different from saloons.

The rears are shorter and I think the fronts are narrower?

Need to take this into account, Ratch.

In all honesty grey carpet is by far the most popular fitted to E30's by a long long margin from my experience

How much are these per set?
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Looks like they'll be around £80ish for leatherette edged premium carpet with locking pins and heelpad.

Around £90 for the same but with woven edging a lá correct hOEMo finish.

Won't be 100% sure until final mould estimate.

You can knock £15 off either if you got the cheaper carpet - but the good stuff feels pretty good.

CABRIO mats are different but shouldn't be a problem.

I would be quite interested to see what these are like and will hold fire from an order. ATM I have cheap poor fitting Halfords floor mats. I have a replica floor mats from MotorMec which are box fresh in unopened packet which I have yet to use. I will also see what BMW say about getting New Genuine BMW floor mats reproduced as an alternative solution.

@Pony - BMW are not going to do this unless there are hundreds of orders and even then it will be 1 colour and a tweaked version of what they currently offer. I'd love it if they did but I'm not waiting around. Names into a UK dealer isn't the way if do it. Formal requests via BMWCC on both sides if the atlantic directly to some heritage exec in Munich is the way to go.

@Diable - I think they have Cabrio templates.

I'd probably order 30 Black, 20 Grey and 10 Indigo.

Beige was / is big in the U.S. There's also some red deviants out there.
Is red an option then? I don't know if there were two options originally for Crimson/Cardinal? Any one (Barry?) know??

There were both pearl beige and natural beige mats available and crimson and cardinal. At this stage, I would imagine the demand for these colours would be miniscule.

Regardless of whether the demand is high or low - it should not, CANNOT be serviced.

:D

I'll ask the supplier. Also need to check with the moulder of switching colours is a no cost option.

I too imagine a rather small minority for either red! :(

I'll add cardinal mats to my wish list of matching carpet/shelf/blind/premiums... :(

Just looked through my 1991 Homo accessories brochure and I found these rather tasty E30 mat options......

The above mats are way sicker than whats been shown so far, I think you could easily serve these up + save on the production costs. Even if you your CNC man can make a mould cheap, If I open a door of a car and see plastic heel sections, I think cheap!

:nono:

I don't know if Demlot is being sarky or not - but those mats are seriously whack. Not even questionable. Just plain nasty. Plus they are also still available from some deviant outlets in the USA.

I know what I'd rather have - I hope enough zoners share my abnormally high level of good taste.

Anyone swayed?
