Mr.and my dad put the screens back in with a bit of thick welding wire bent in to a tear shape then taped to a bit of broom handle cut down, worked a treat and cheap as chips.
Top tip is to tape up around the screen with masking tape so thay when you slip, and you will, you don't damage the paint work especially when putting the corner or front joining cover bits on.
