Not me only been only car about 8months several thousand miles. Just figured a ball joint to be better than a bush.DanThe wrote:Has anybody on here used these for a large amount of miles? i went with the TWR drop links, not recieved them yet but a google suggests they make quality parts
picked up the arb bushes from bmw today, dont know who made by but are stamped with the part number and bmw logo £20 for the pair, the only other options were £7.50 each febi ones via ebay, so £5 more for the bmw was hopefully worth it
picking up the freshly powder coated goodies tomorrow and a few other bits

The BMW parts are probably made by FEBI.

Thanks mate, already got the trw drop links they look decent
Good day today , picked up the sub frame and anti roll bar today, they look brilliant, spruced the bolts up and got the sub frame back in and the cars rolling again, very glad I got this done just in time
The engine mounts look decent still after a clean up so il put them back in
New wishbones are in order now, £57 a side for lemforder ones, but it says "with ball joints but without rubber mounting"
What does this mean about the mounting ? It doesn't appear to list them to buy ??? (Unless I'm looking in wrong place)
Also need some new steering tie rods
The rack and wishbones look a bit ropey in there now so I need to push on with a PAS conversion I think

The "rubber mounting" is probably referring to the lollypop bushes. God opportunity to upgrade to M3 eccentric bushes, get them form the dealer about £40 they come as a pair so only order one, part number 31129061222. A bit of info here http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... pop_Bushes
As for tie rods order lemforder about £25ish a side for a full assembly. Part number for them on ECP and CP4L 605110105. They always come up dearer if you go though entering your reg route as apposed to putting the above part number in the search function...

Nice one thanks G
Was just looking at the tie rods earlier on cp4l, I orderd a Sachs clutch kit and few other bits
I didn't order the tie rods mind - at mo I have manual rack and noticed they differ ? I also noticed they listed left and right and it said "fitted quantity 1" so was unsure if it ment both were included was going to ask, although presumed not
I need to get a new rack 1st, then get some along with wishbones and do the lot in 1 go, kind if wished I started this a few weeks ago then again with all the rain it wouldn't of been possible
